Privacy Policy

We collect three kinds of information:

• Contact details — your name, email address, phone number, and general location, provided when you fill out a form, apply for a role, or speak with a recruiter.
• Resume and work history — your employment history, education, certifications, skills, salary expectations, work authorization status, and anything else you include in a resume or application.
• Usage data — pages visited, device and browser type, IP address, and similar analytics data collected through cookies and standard web technologies.

We use your information to:

• Match you with roles and present your profile to potential employers.
• Communicate with you about applications, interviews, offers, and our services.
• Improve the site and understand how visitors use it.
• Meet legal obligations, including equal-opportunity recordkeeping, tax reporting, and employment-eligibility verification.

We share candidate information with client employers only with your consent — no resume goes anywhere without your say-so. We also work with service providers (such as applicant-tracking, email, hosting, and analytics vendors) who process data on our behalf under contract. We may disclose information when the law requires it. We never sell your personal information for money.

We retain candidate records while your profile is active and for a reasonable period afterward so we can reconnect when the right role opens. You can ask us to delete your records at any time; we will honor the request except where a law requires us to keep specific records longer.

Wherever you live, you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and opt out of marketing messages at any time. Additional region-specific rights are described below. To exercise any right, email privacy@harborrecruitment.com.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined in the law. Harbor does not sell personal information for money, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To exercise any of these rights — or to opt out as a precaution — email privacy@harborrecruitment.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request," or call us at +1 (530) 423-3091. We will verify your identity, respond within the timeline the law requires, and we will never treat you differently for exercising your rights. You may also designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

If you are in Canada, we handle your personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws. We collect and use your information only with your consent and for the purposes described above, and you may withdraw consent at any time. You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to request corrections. If you believe we have not handled your information appropriately, contact us first at privacy@harborrecruitment.com — and you always have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
